Recently our community lost a wonderful person. Briana was the first midwife I met in Utah when I first became a doula. We were the same age I was so admiring of how much she had do in such a short amount of time. She died in a car accident recently.

Valerie, I came across your website while researching types of doula website designs that I love (I love yours, by the way). I am on my way to becoming DONA certified, and I live all the way in Oregon, but this amazing young woman, Briana, has touched my soul, as I’m sure many others have been touched. May this little note bring you and your community some comfort that Briana’s life and passion is not in vain. Her love for women and the transformative process of birth is inspiring to me. I hope to someday speak such wisdom-filled words.
